Menopause: Hot Flashes CAN be Stopped!

Cooling down those hot flashes from menopause, can be hard to do, especially at night, and it can be hard to get back to sleep. You start stressing over your "to do list" for tomorrow, and that gets you tossing and turning, and more heat..

menopause hot flashes night sweatsSound familiar? Here is a great quick fix.. not a cure.. but this sure has helped me out, especially if you are waken in the middle of the night due to menopause hot flashes.

Every time you find a mismatched sock on laundry day, instead of throwing it out, put it aside. Then take this clean sock and fill it with uncooked rice or oats, don’t overfill it, you want it pliable rather than rigid.

Then toss in some dried herbs you have around the house such as cloves, rosemary.. or my favorite is chamomile tea. (Just open a couple of chamomile tea bags into the rice or oats in the sock). Chamomile tea has a soothing scent. Or lavender is another great scent.

Tie off the open end of the sock with some string, then pop the sock into the freezer for a few hours.

Make a few of the socks, and keep them in the freezer, so that you always have them on hand. Try using one right before bed, especially if you have trouble getting to sleep. This also works for those hot summer nights.

Just another tool for menopause relief!
